This morning Pete (AT&T Security) had a story to tell me. Golden Boy (the AT&T mascot it seems) is coated in 14k gold, 18,800 pounds and very bright! He shared the facts as I made my way back to the foundation to begin round two- they hadn't scared me off yet! I started by reading Ralph de la Vega's book titled Obstacles Welcome. My mentor had provided a study guide and questions that teachers normally use. The book is beyond interesting. Following the story of Ralph de la Vega as a young cuban immigrant, the book provides personal details but also key points and advice for success. I sat in on phone calls, organized files, and read.

So where is your blog about Thursday's highlight being a visit from Mr. Miner? Seriously, you need to blog daily.
ReplyDeleteI know from today's meeting that you are having some pretty interesting experiences and want to read about you reflecting on them. Looked like both your mentors were both fun and inciteful. So glad you got to be a part of the high school project--want to hear more about what you learned.
Anyway, glad things are working out and proud that you are doing such a good job.
